I've never claimed to be a writer, but it's nice to have a place to put my thoughts down once in a while.

Sunday Scrappin' #32

My second one in a row!! Albeit a day later, but still....

My TaDa's: I actually did make a card this week. It was for my dad for Father's Day. I cased it from PaperCrafters magazine (June 2008). I liked the way the card looked so this is my version.

The stripe and dot paper are from packs I got at Wal-Mart. The green and white is cardstock I got from where I used to work in Cincinnati. The gold was from a pack I got at Big Lots. The buttons and ribbon are from packs I got at Hobby Lobby. And the "dad" is lettering stamps and ink from Wal-Mart. On the inside I just wrote, "Happy Father's Day". It was kind of fun trying to find the right materials to mimic what I saw in the magazine.

My ToDo's: Hmmmm, I don't really have much planned for this week. I may try to get some of my photos printed so I can do some scrapbooking soon. I've got tons of pics with my new camera. My challenge will be to decide which ones I want to scrap. I think this is where I need to get really organized and plan out what I'm going to do. I've never really scrapped that way, although I can see how that can be very productive.

I had an idea for the challenge but I didn't have the right materials at home. I may still do it. The youth pastor at church is getting married and I could make the card for them. If I do, I'll post it.

{Edit: Well, I did make one and it wasn't what I had in mind. I couldn't get my other idea to work very well. I'll have to keep working on it. This one was very rushed as you can probably tell. The ink wasn't dry when I added the hearts so I smeared it. Then I left my ink pad open and laid the card on it. I was so mad at myself. And I had no time to redo it or try to fix it somehow. So this was the finished product. I can't believe I actually gave it to them. Oh well, that's what I get for waiting until the very last minute.}
Be sure to check out the other posts at Sunday Scrappin'.

Well, good luck this week and thanks for reading!
